I’ve used it for a long time. I can access blocked websites and bypass Netflix security restrictions with it. Excellent VPN and proxy service and never had problems with them. Would recommend.
Totally messed up my machine. This software will not open the interface 90% of the time and will gladly load multiple copies that you cannot ‘see’ except in task manager
I can’t say it’s bad, it gets the job done, it’s not expensive, I can use it on almost everything (except for my fridge, but who knows, maybe in the future…) but I still trust good ol’ vpns a bit more.
Generally speaking, it’s a good VPN, but I don’t like that it’s based in the US. Five Eyes anyone?
I like to know how it works but someone said it’s not really a VPN. Does that mean it’s not safe?
It’s not really a vpn, but I use it just for streaming Netflix anyway. And for that purpose it works great.
Hide My IP seems to be one of the few VPN services that you can use with a one time payment. I bought it 8 years ago (paid $29.95), and my license still works with the latest version. Most other vpns charge a monthly fee (Hide My IP does too, but it is for the premium plan). I also like their Chrome extension, the only VPN provider I used that can still unblock streaming sites like netflix, using the extension’s Floating IP feature. The only reason I bought it was the only IP VPN without paying monthly AND I can use countries of my choice. but, without a warning, I have no premium account any more and have to buy an abonement to get it back
